Our community will be hosting an event on March 23 at 10am for families who are home schooling their children and also for any children under the age of 5. This event is open to all families in TDC. We are trying to host a monthly educational event for the children in our community.

Northside Family Engagement Program: provides parenting support, early math/literacy/social emotional strategies, home visits, music and movement and many resources. Janeth Albright is the pre-K Family and Community Liaison for NISD and she will be collaborating with KLRN, San Antonio Public Library (Little Read Wagon), Texas A & M for nutrition classes...

She will bring bring KLRN on March 25th @ 10am to our community. She will discuss and share literacy resources available through PBS:

• KLRN's Lear at HomePage and Blog Post

• PBS Kids

• Sesame Street in the Communities

• The Health Kids Project

• PBS Learning Media

Right after her presentation, she can do Literacy Make and Take for the families. In addition, I will bring learning materials/resources for them to take home.

Please support this event so that we can have NISD come to our community monthly. She can also come doing after school hours please let me know if you are interested.
